Intense and complex

Mommoti is the boogeyman of Sardinian tradition, used to frighten children into good behavior. Usually represented with a long black coat and a gaze as intense as the scent and flavor of this wine.

Appellation: Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Rosso.

Variety: native red grape varieties.

Soil type: granite weathering.

Altitude: 350 m above sea level.

Training method: head-trained bush vines (alberello).

Age of the vineyard: approximately 100 years.

Vineyard density: 4000 vines/ha.

Yield: 3 tons/ha.

Harvest: manual.

Fermentation: spontaneous in steel containers.

Ageing: 6 months in barriques.

Alcohol: 13.5% vol.

Ideal with mature cheeses, game, well-bodied dishes. Excellent as a meditation wine.
